Relational Therapy
Regardless of how long you’ve known your partner(s), relationships take work! As great as it would be to have our minds read by the person(s) we’re most vulnerable with, it’s not so easy. I mean, consider how many conversations went into deciding whether or not to move forward with therapy. For the record, coming to see me doesn’t mean your relationship is broken or doomed. Therapy can help to reignite the spark to rediscover how fun, sexy, and exciting it is to create secure attachments, connections, and functional communication with another person.
I work with all sexual orientations and consenting relationship styles while affirming the uniqueness of your relationship. I am a level 1 PACT clinician. PACT stands for Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy and was developed by Stan Tatkin, PsyD. The goal of PACT is to blend mind-body functioning and provide couples with tools to create safe, secure functioning relationships. “PACT was developed out of cutting-edge research in three areas: 1) Neuroscience: the study of the human brain. 2) Attachment theory: The explanation for the biological need to bond with others. 3) Biology of human arousal: The moment-to-moment ability to manage one’s energy, alertness, and readiness to engage.” The PACT Institute, 2025.
As a relational therapist, my role is not to “keep you together.” However, I will challenge you to be inquisitive about your relational disconnects and misalignments as you navigate communication styles, emotional intimacy, trust, and responsibility to show up for your relationship(s).
